Damm
Damm was founded in Barcelona in 1876 by August Kuentzmann Damm, an Alsatian brewer who had left his homeland during the Franco-Prussian War, and his cousin Joseph Damm. In 1905 the company opened the La Bohemia brewery on Carrer del Rosselló, today its headquarters. Its flagship lager, sold as Estrella Dorada until 1991, is still made with barley malt from its own malt house, rice and hops. Damm has remained an independent family company; it bought the Eagle Brewery in Bedford, England, in 2022 and marks its 150th anniversary in 2026.
