Burleigh Brewing Company was founded in 2006 in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast by Peta and Brennan Fielding, after Brennan had brewed in Hawaii, Japan and the United States. It was one of the first craft breweries in Queensland. In 2015 the brewery outgrew its first site and moved a few hundred metres to Ern Harley Drive, where brewhouse, packaging line and taphouse share one building. The range leans on German- and Czech-style lagers alongside pale ales, brewed without rice or corn and left unpasteurised. The company remains independent and family-run.
