It is Burleigh's take on an English extra special bitter, built on a blend of English specialty malts with malted barley, wheat and natural hops. The beer pours deep amber-copper. Toffee and caramel with a nutty edge lead the nose, and the palate is smooth and malty, with soft caramel, a touch of chocolate, hazelnut and an earthy, restrained bitterness in a dry finish.
