Duke Premium was the first beer Burleigh brewed when the brewery opened in 2006, and it now returns as a limited release. It is a filtered lager in the pilsner tradition, brewed from malted barley and wheat with European hops. The beer pours bright gold under a white head. The nose shows fresh bread and a mild, spicy hop note, and the palate sets a fairly full body and a light honeyed toast sweetness against a floral bitterness, before a clean, dry and crisp finish.
