The White Hag Irish Brewing Company
The White Hag brews in Ballymote, County Sligo, in the north-west of Ireland. The company was set up in 2013 by Sligo natives Bob Coggins, Paul Mullin and Brian McTernan. Names and artwork draw on Irish mythology. The range is led by hop-forward ales and stouts, joined by the Púca line of sour beers fermented with a house wild yeast culture. A barrel programme begun in 2016 through crowdfunding holds close to 300 oak casks. The brewery runs a taproom on site and hosts the Hagstravaganza festival each August.

How we measure this
Two thresholds are at work here:
- The signature list shows notes that recur in at least 6% of this brewery's beers. A low bar — enough to flag a pattern, not high enough to call it an exclusive trait.
- The peer comparison below shows only notes where this brewery's coverage differs from similar breweries by at least 20 percentage points. A higher bar — enough to call a real difference, not a nudge.
A note can appear on the signature list without appearing in the peer comparison: it recurs here, but similar breweries do the same thing.
