Bock Damm presents a dark mahogany body with garnet glints visible under bright light, characteristic of its roasted grain bill. The light brown head forms with moderate density and demonstrates good adhesion to the glass, leaving distinct lacing as the beer is consumed. The darkness and clarity suggest a well-executed dark lager with controlled carbonation.

◌ Aroma

The nose is sweet and dense, dominated by chocolate-tinged coffee notes that emerge from the 200–220 °C roasted grains. Beneath this roasted character lies a caramelised malt sweetness, creating a layered aromatic profile that is inviting rather than sharp. The overall impression is of a sophisticated dark lager nose, with no harsh roast or burnt edges.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with caramel and raisin notes from the malt bill, followed by honey and roasted grain flavours that build a full, firm body. The fruity character develops mid-palate alongside slightly drying tannins, likely from the roasted malts, which provide structure without harshness. The interplay of sweetness and roast creates a balanced, complex mouthfeel that sustains through the swallow.

The finish extends into a long roasted character, with the tannins providing a gentle drying sensation that encourages the next sip. The aftertaste remains malty and slightly sweet, without any astringency or lingering bitterness despite the 25 IBU.
