◎ Aussehen

Deep black with warm reddish-brown highlights when held to light, characteristic of well-kilned dark malts. A tan head forms with good initial retention and fine lacing down the glass. The body presents clear rather than cloudy, with a fine bead of carbonation.

◌ Aroma

Roasted malt dominates the nose, with pronounced notes of dark bread crust and toasted grain. Cocoa and coffee emerge in the mid-range, layered with hints of caramel sweetness that prevent the roast from becoming harsh. The hop character is restrained, providing subtle spice without overshadowing the malt profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with roasted grain and dark bread flavours, moving to chocolate and a gentle coffee bitterness in the mid-palate. Light caramel sweetness balances the roast throughout, while the hop bitterness remains fine-grained and integrated rather than assertive. At 5.0% ABV, the body stays lean and clean, allowing each element to register distinctly.

The finish is dry with lingering roast notes and a subtle coffee undertone. No sweetness persists; the aftertaste is clean and moreish, inviting another sip.
