Known for a full range of styles

Zillertal Bier has brewed in Zell am Ziller since 1500, when the local provostry received the right from the Archbishopric of Salzburg to produce and serve beer and spirits. The family has held the business since 1678, when Ludwig Jobst acquired the brewing right and became, by the brewery's account, the first free brewer in Tyrol. Production moved to the edge of the village in stages; the current brewhouse started up in December 2012. The brewery supplies the Gauder Fest with its own bock beer.
