White Rabbit opened in Healesville in the Yarra Valley in March 2009, founded by the team behind Little Creatures as their first venture on Australia's east coast. The name and the labels play on Lewis Carroll, and the brewing follows the motto fermentation with imagination: two open-top fermenters, and since the move a hall full of wine and spirit barrels. Lion, part of Kirin, took over the parent company in 2012 and shifted production to the Little Creatures site in South Geelong at the end of 2015, where the original brewhouse still runs.
