Award winningKnown for a full range of styles

Gage Roads Brew Co takes its name from the stretch of ocean between Fremantle and Rottnest Island, and the coast runs through everything the brewery makes. Founded in 2002 by the Hoedemaker brothers and Peter Nolin with secondhand equipment in a former margarine factory, it grew into one of Australia's largest independent breweries. Production sits in Palmyra, south of Fremantle; a second brewhouse pours fresh beer at the A Shed brewpub on the Fremantle waterfront. Around 240 people work here, a fifth of the shares are employee owned.
