◎ Appearance

Pours a bright copper hue with excellent clarity and a substantial white foam head that demonstrates persistent lacing on the glass. The carbonation is lively and well-integrated, creating a fine bead that sustains throughout. The color reflects the elevated grain bill typical of the Double IPA style, with a luminous quality suggesting proper kilning and fresh brewing.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with ripe stone fruit and berry notes—strawberry and blackberry are distinctly present, followed by a baked grapefruit character and ripening papaya that suggest a well-balanced hop expression. A subtle malt sweetness underpins the aromatic profile, preventing the hops from dominating entirely. The combination of Simcoe, Krush, Nelson and Mosaic creates a layered, fruit-forward bouquet with emerging resinous notes.

◐ Taste

The palate is full and rounded, with the doubled grain bill providing a solid malt foundation that carries the 8.6% ABV comfortably. The hop bitterness integrates seamlessly at 50 IBU—enough to frame the beer without overwhelming the fruit character. The mid-palate evolves through papaya and citrus, building toward a dry, resinous finish that balances malt sweetness with assertive hop structure.

The finish combines tangerine rind zest with persistent resinous hop notes that linger cleanly on the palate. The aftertaste remains dry and composed, never harsh, with a gradual fade that maintains the beer's hoppy character without astringency.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
