Porter Baltique
A strong black lager after the Baltic model, on pilsner and Munich malt with caramel, wheat, oat, Carafa and a portion of smoked malt. Coffee and chocolate lead, with vanilla and dark cherry sitting under them and a thin curl of woodsmoke at the back. Lager fermentation keeps it clean where an ale would turn fruity. Bitterness is low for the weight at 27 IBU, and the finish is sweetish, warm and long.
