The result is layered rather than sweet: espresso and dark chocolate at the front, bourbon warmth and vanillin oak through the middle, and maple showing more as woody depth than as sugar. The body is thick, 80 IBU of roast-backed bitterness holds the finish dry, and the alcohol runs warm throughout.
