The Kalash Whisky Edition takes part of the annual imperial stout and ages it in barrels that held single malt from Bakery Hill Distillery for more than a decade; it is the seventh collaboration between the two producers. The casks add oak, malty whisky warmth and a touch of vanilla to the dark chocolate, roasted malt and tar of the base beer, and the spice comes through more strongly than in the bourbon-aged version. The body is dense and the finish long and warming.
