Grand Baltic Porter

◎ Appearance

A near-black beer with deep mahogany highlights at the edges when held to light. The head is thick and persistent, laying down fine lacing as it recedes. Carbonation is moderate, creating a slow cascade that emphasizes the beer's substantial weight.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with roasted coffee and dark chocolate, followed by layers of blackstrap molasses and dried stone fruits—raisin and prune dominant. A subtle licorice note emerges in the background, underpinned by the warmth of balanced alcohol that integrates rather than announces itself.

◐ Taste

The palate enters with rich caramel and dark malt sweetness, building toward a coffee-like roast in the mid-palate. Dark fruit character—prune and raisin—pairs with a chocolate undertone, while moderate bitterness arrives late but does not dominate. The body is full and viscous, with alcohol folded seamlessly into the overall structure.

◑ Finish

The finish is long and lingering, maintaining sweetness and malt character through the aftertaste. Bitterness remains restrained, allowing the dried fruit and molasses notes to carry through to the fade.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
