◎ Appearance

Deep garnet-brown to near-black, with low to moderate clarity revealing the beer's substantial malt backbone. A dense, tan head forms readily and clings to the glass with persistent lacing, characteristic of the Baltic Porter style. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, supporting the visual weight without aggressive bubbling.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with rich dark chocolate and roasted grain notes, layered with espresso and cocoa undertones. Subtle dark fruit esters—plum and raisin—emerge from beneath the roasted character, while gentle warming alcohol adds depth without harshness. The overall impression is malty and inviting, with no sharp hop presence.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with smooth dark chocolate and coffee flavors that coat the mouth with a full, rounded body. Mid-palate reveals deeper roasted notes and dried plum character, while the moderate alcohol warmth becomes perceptible without dominating. Bitterness is restrained at 30 IBU, allowing the chocolate-forward sweetness to remain the dominant impression through to the close.

The finish is long and warm, with dark chocolate and subtle roasted grain lingering pleasantly on the palate. Alcohol warmth persists gently, leaving a satisfying, slightly dry aftertaste that invites the next sip.
