◎ Aussehen

Deep black with a brown edge, opaque and full of substance. The head rises dense and tan, clinging to the glass with fine Schaumhaftung as the beer settles. Carbonation is gentle, befitting a lager of this weight and alcohol.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted coffee and dark chocolate, grounded in the clean fermentation character of a lager. Beneath these primary notes sit vanilla sweetness and a thread of woodsmoke, with hints of dark cherry emerging on closer inspection. The overall impression is warm and inviting, free of any fruity esters.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is full-bodied and smooth, with chocolate and coffee immediately coating the palate in equal measure. The mid-palate develops a subtle roasted depth and vanilla sweetness, while a delicate curl of smoke lingers across the tongue. Bitterness remains restrained at 27 IBU, allowing the malt complexity to dominate rather than asserting hop presence.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long and warming, with a gentle sweetness and alcohol heat that builds slowly on the palate. Woodsmoke and vanilla fade into the aftertaste, leaving a clean, dry conclusion.

Bei 10–13°C servieren. Zu kalt dämpft die Röstvielfalt, die einen guten Porter langsam trinkbar macht.
