Deep garnet to near-black in color, with full opacity characteristic of the style. A dense, persistent head forms and maintains firm attachment to the glass walls throughout drinking. The body presents rich visual weight, hinting at the malt structure and alcohol warmth beneath.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted dark malt character—burnt chocolate and espresso grounds dominate the initial impression. Beneath lies a layer of dried dark fruit notes, cherry and plum, with subtle warming alcohol present but well-integrated. No aggressive hop character intrudes; the beer's identity rests entirely on refined malt and fermentation complexity.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is full and smooth, with dark chocolate and roasted malt sweetness building across the mid-palate. Coffee bitterness emerges mid-way, providing moderate dry counterpoint without dominating the flavor balance. The 10.5% alcohol generates perceptible warmth but remains woven into the overall structure rather than standing apart; malt sweetness and roast character carry equal weight through to closure.

◑ Abgang

The finish extends with sustained roast and chocolate character, fading gradually into a dry, warming aftertaste. Moderate bitterness persists into the final moments, balanced by lingering malt depth.

Bei 10–13°C servieren. Zu kalt dämpft die Röstvielfalt, die einen guten Porter langsam trinkbar macht.
