Deep chestnut brown with warm mahogany highlights, revealing excellent clarity beneath a modest but persistent foam collar. The color speaks to the Munich and Cara malts' gentle kilning, while the head clings dutifully to the glass rim with fine lacing.

Molasses and dark bread crust dominate the nose, grounded by the low-noble Perle and Hallertau hopping—restrained and herbaceous rather than floral. Behind these lies a distinct fruit depth: stewed plum and black cherry, with an unexpected whisper of orange peel that lifts the otherwise earthy foundation.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is full and malt-forward, opening with chocolate and caramel sweetness anchored by Cara 60 and 160 malts. The 30 IBU arrives as a gentle check rather than a bite, allowing the dark fruit and faint citrus notes to unfold mid-palate without obstruction. Residual sweetness remains substantial, yet the beer never cloys.

Long and warming, the alcohol announces itself as gentle heat rather than sharp bite. The aftertaste holds true to the malt-led profile, leaving traces of molasses and bread crust that linger into the final moments.
