Jet black with opaque density, revealing only the faintest garnet at the rim when held to light. A dense, persistent head forms and clings to the glass with notable adhesion, leaving thick bands of lacing as the beer is consumed. Carbonation is restrained, appropriate to the style's weight and bourbon-aged character.

◌ Aroma

Bourbon oak dominates the opening, delivering vanilla and light wood notes that sit atop a foundation of roasted barley and espresso. Dark chocolate and burnt sugar emerge beneath, with a subtle undercurrent of dark fruit. The 84 IBU of hop bitterness registers as a dry, resinous quality rather than a sharp floral or citrus note.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is full and coating, with roasted malt and espresso leading into a mid-palate layered with vanilla, oak, and dark chocolate. Residual sweetness from the malt is met by assertive hop bitterness that cuts cleanly through the body without harshness. Alcohol warmth is present throughout, contributing to the beer's substantial mouthfeel and slightly boozy character.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long and dry, with roasted edges and bitter notes persisting into the aftertaste. Warmth lingers pleasantly, and the oak influence softens over time, allowing vanilla and chocolate complexity to emerge more prominently with age.
