Uiltje Brewing Company
Uiltje started in 2012 as a contract brewer at Jopen. After a 2015 crowdfunding drive backed by a bank and hundreds of supporters, its own brewery went live on Bingerweg in September 2016: a 40 hl brewhouse, eleven fermentation tanks and a 300-litre pilot system for small batches. IPAs and barrel-aged beers built its name, and its labels are drawn by cartoonist Gerben Valkema. Uiltje is part of the family-owned Royal Swinkels group.
