Award winningKnown for a full range of styles

Okanagan Spring opened in October 1985 in a former warehouse in downtown Vernon, started by German immigrants Jakob Tobler and Buko von Krosigk as a counterweight to the national lagers of the day. Its 1516 Lager follows the Bavarian purity law of that name. The brewery later passed to Sleeman Breweries and with it to Sapporo, while the Tobler family stayed on — Stefan Tobler has been brewmaster for decades. Brewing runs on two-row Canadian barley, a house yeast strain and Okanagan spring water.
