Flötzinger Bräu is the oldest brewery in Rosenheim and the only one in the town still in private hands. Its brewing right dates to 1543, when Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria granted it to the brewer in the Wiesengasse. In 1868 Johann Krichbaumer bought the Flötzinger brewery, and his descendants, the Steegmüller family, own it to this day. The company brews around 150,000 hectolitres a year and runs its own tent at the Rosenheim Herbstfest. It is led by Marisa Steegmüller and Lorenz Stiglauer.
