🌍 United States · New England IPA · One of 99 New England IPAs in hopIQ

pFriem Fresh Hop Hazy IPA is brewed at harvest time with fresh Centennial and Amarillo hops from Oregon, joined by Citra, Mosaic and Eclipse on a base of pale malt and flaked oats and fermented with a London ale yeast. It pours a luminous, sun-burnt rose gold under thick white foam. Candied lemon, papaya, mango and sorbet lead the nose, resinous ripe peach, powdered sugar and lime follow on the palate, and the finish is soft and pillowy with a hint of green melon.

Tasting Notes

AI-generated sensory profile for pFriem Fresh Hop Hazy IPA

◎ Appearance

A luminous sun-burnt rose gold beneath a thick, persistent white head. The beer displays the characteristic haze of a New England IPA—intentionally opaque with a soft, diffuse appearance that catches light warmly. Fine carbonation supports stable foam retention and lacing.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright, candied citrus—lemon and papaya—followed by stone fruit depth: ripe mango and peach. Fresh hop resin underlies the sweeter top notes, while sorbet-like qualities lend an almost confectionery airiness. A gentle herbal and lime edge prevents cloying.

◐ Taste

Entry is soft and fruit-forward, with powdered sugar coating the palate and ripe peach lending juicy mid-palate depth. The 45 IBU bitterness sits restrained and integrated, balancing citrus acidity without astringency. Lime provides a subtle herbal counterpoint without dominating.

◑ Finish

The finish is soft and pillowy, with green melon notes fading gently into a clean, slightly dry fade. Bitterness recedes gracefully, leaving no harsh edges.
