Lindemans Gueuze Dark Cuvée René

Tap to rate

Created for René Lindemans' 85th birthday, this gueuze swaps the usual unmalted wheat for a roasted one, which gives it a deep amber-brown colour. It spent two years in oak foeders and a third in 20-year-old cognac barrels. Roasted wheat and a delicate hint of cognac in the aroma; on the palate the fresh, sour character of lambic meets subtle notes of the same spirit, powerful and complex. 8 % ABV, limited to 20,000 bottles.
