Deep mahogany to near-black in the glass, with excellent clarity revealing the beer's full density. A tan head forms readily and clings to the glass in fine lacing as you drink. Carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, creating a gently creeping bead.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with prominent dark caramel notes—almost toffee-like—layered beneath roasted grain and subtle milk chocolate. Earthy, herbal notes from Fuggles and East Kent Goldings emerge as the beer warms, with faint coffee undertones. The overall impression is balanced between sweet adjunct and classic English hop character.

◐ Geschmack

The palate leads with a rich caramel sweetness that occupies the center of the profile, flanked by roasted malt and subtle cocoa notes. Coffee undertones linger through mid-palate without becoming astringent. English hops contribute a gentle, earthy bitterness in the mid-section that prevents the sweetness from overwhelming, while a clean, smooth malt backbone carries the beer to its close.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and drying, with the earthy hop character gaining subtle prominence as residual sweetness recedes. A mild coffee note lingers briefly, leaving the palate ready for another sip.
