Juicy IPA

Tap to rate

A hazy IPA at 6.0% built around tropical fruit, the stronger of the two IPAs in the core range. Oats and torrefied wheat give a full body with some residual sweetness; the dry hop uses Sabro, Azacca and Amarillo. On the nose there is fresh stone fruit and bright citrus, rounded off by a subtle, creamy hint of coconut. Sold in 330 ml cans and on keg; four-packs for the supermarket trade were added in 2022. The recipe is also the starting point for a peach-led variant.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and full-bodied, the oats and torrefied wheat creating a soft mouthfeel with gentle sweetness that frames the hops rather than fighting them. Mid-palate delivers layered fruit—pineapple, mandarin, and subtle stone fruit—with a clean, moderately dry bitterness that sits at 50 IBU and feels balanced rather than aggressive. The sweetness lingers slightly, creating a rounded profile that appeals across a wide range of palates.

What is a Hazy IPA?

IPAs are hop-forward ales with 5.5–7.5% ABV and IBU 40–70+. Bold hop aroma — citrus, tropical, resinous — with firm bitterness and a dry, clean finish.

Finding a similar Hazy IPA

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same hazy, tropical, fruity character as Juicy IPA will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
