Boat Shoes Hazy IPA

◎ Appearance

A hazy golden pour with a pale straw color and soft, diffuse cloudiness throughout. The head forms quickly and settles to a thin, delicate collar with modest lacing. Carbonation appears gentle and well-integrated, reinforcing the approachable, casual character.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright tropical stone fruits—ripe mango and pineapple dominate, backed by subtle citrus zest. Beneath the fruit, a whisper of grain and soft wheat emerges, with no aggressive herbal or dank hop character. The overall impression is clean and inviting, without sharp resinous edges.

◐ Taste

Entry is soft and juicy, with the tropical hop character carrying through immediately. The palate is pillowed by oat and wheat, lending a silky mouthfeel and subtle breadiness that prevents the beer from feeling thin. Bitterness remains restrained at 50 IBU—present enough to frame the fruit but never harsh or lingering.

The finish is clean and refreshing, fading to a dry, crisp aftertaste with residual fruit notes. No astringency or resin cling; the beer feels bright and quenching through to the end.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
