Easy IPA

Tap to rate

The brewery's flagship and the heart of its core range: an everyday IPA in the American mould at a moderate 4.7%, evolved from the very first beer it brewed and also the recipe behind its 1,000th brew. Pale malt and lightly kilned caramel malt form a clean base for Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Simcoe. The hops bring bright citrus fruit, an earthy, resinous note and a crisp touch of pine, with a clear bitterness. Sold in 440 ml cans and on keg.

About American IPA

Style guide · what to expect · how to find alternatives

What is a American IPA?

IPAs are hop-forward ales with 5.5–7.5% ABV and IBU 40–70+. Bold hop aroma — citrus, tropical, resinous — with firm bitterness and a dry, clean finish.

Finding a similar American IPA

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same citrusy, resinous, earthy character as Easy IPA will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
