Charlevoix Brut Ale

◎ Appearance

Pale golden hue with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent head that clings to the glass with visible lacing. The carbonation is vigorous and well-integrated, creating a lively sparkle throughout the pour. Despite its 8.5% ABV and Double IPA character, the body reads as notably light and elegant on the eye.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with ripe pineapple and white stone fruit, supported by waves of tropical fruit character. Bright citrus peel cuts through the mid-palate notes, while a firm, assertive herbal and resinous hop presence grounds the profile. The dry fermentation has left virtually no malt sweetness, allowing the noble hop character to dominate completely.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and dry, with a lean palate shaped by malted oats and rice that prevent heaviness despite the strength. The mid-palate expresses tropical citrus and stone fruit flavors in balance with a growing bitterness that builds steadily through the swallow. The 94% attenuation leaves no cloying residue, allowing the hop bitterness and dry character to define the entire experience.

◑ Finish

The finish is notably dry and snappy, with a sparkling quality that echoes the high carbonation and complete fermentation. A lingering citrus and herbal bitterness persists cleanly on the palate without any sweetness or warming alcohol notes.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
