Tap to rate

Nolia is the brewery's alcohol-free IPA, developed over more than a year and sold under its own name alongside the Beak range. It is hopped with lots hand-selected from individual farms in the Yakima Valley in the United States and in Nelson, New Zealand. The brewery describes it as hazy, juicy and silky smooth, with flavours of apricot, mango and lime mojito. The strength is 0.5%. A special edition hopped only with New Zealand varieties appears beside it.

Tasting Notes

AI-generated sensory profile for Nolia

◎ Appearance

Nolia presents a pale golden hue with pronounced haze, characteristic of its style. The cloudy appearance stems from suspended yeast and hop particles, creating a soft, inviting visual. A creamy white head forms readily and clings to the glass with pleasant persistence.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright, juicy stone fruit—apricot and mango—layered over a subtle lime zest. Hand-selected hops from Yakima Valley and Nelson deliver pronounced citrus and tropical notes without alcohol's typical bite. A soft, clean malt base supports the aromatics without asserting grain-forward character.

◐ Taste

Entry is silky and smooth, with the promised juicy mango and apricot flavors coating the palate immediately. Mid-palate carries a mojito-like lime brightness and herbal complexity; the 60 IBU provides a measured, non-aggressive bitterness that integrates naturally rather than dominating. The low alcohol allows hop character to shine without harsh edges.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and moderately dry, with citrus and lime notes persisting gently into the aftertaste. No cloying sweetness or harsh alcohol burn—the beer closes with a subtle herbal and fruity echo.
