Stone IPA presents a clear, bright golden hue that catches light with transparency characteristic of the West Coast tradition. A crisp white head forms on the pour and maintains steady retention across the glass. The carbonation is evident in steady bead activity and fine lacing that clings to the walls.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with pronounced lemon rind and pine needle character from the Magnum and Chinook hops, underlaid by a grainy, malty foundation. Supporting notes of tropical fruit and bright citrus emerge from the later-addition Azacca, Calypso, Ella and Vic Secret, creating a layered bouquet without harsh resinousness. The overall impression balances herbal bite with fruity complexity.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is clean and direct, with the medium body allowing hop resin and citrus to move across the palate unobstructed. Bitterness unfolds steadily without astringency, building from the Chinook and Centennial base while tropical and citrus notes from the noble late additions persist through the mid-palate. The beer maintains its dry character throughout, with no perceptible residual sweetness.

The finish extends with lingering hop bitterness that remains crisp and well-defined rather than harsh. A dry, mineral-like quality persists in the aftertaste, encouraging another sip.
