Deep black with ruby highlights at the edges when held to light, revealing the complexity beneath the dark surface. The head is modest but persistent, with fine carbonation supporting a thin collar of foam that clings to the glass. Clarity reads as opaque, true to the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright coniferous hop character—fir needle and pine resin dominate the first impression. Beneath this sits dark malt contributing cocoa powder and a gentle coffee note, neither scorched nor aggressive. The interplay is clean and balanced, with burnt toast adding a subtle whisper rather than a shout.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and medium-bodied, allowing resinous and piney hops to take center stage without harshness. Mid-palate reveals layers of roasted malt—chocolate and coffee notes emerge alongside the hop character, all pulling in the same direction. Bitterness is present and dry, finishing clean without astringency or conflicting flavors.

The finish is dry and moderately persistent, with resin and roast lingering together in harmony. No harsh edges or lingering harshness; the aftertaste fades gracefully, leaving a sense of composure.
