Founded in December 2002 by Steve Abrams, Jeff Cooper and Michael Duggan, Mill Street takes its name from its first address at 55 Mill Street in Toronto's Distillery District. The brewery built its reputation on organic brewing, releasing Ontario's first certified organic lager, and moved volume production to Scarborough in 2006 while keeping a brewpub in the original tank house. Named Canadian Brewery of the Year three times. It has belonged to Labatt, part of AB InBev, since October 2015.
