The brewhouse sits in a listed 1878 carriage hall of the original brewery site and kept brewing there after Carlsberg moved its main production to Fredericia. Named after the founder, the brand draws on one of the world's largest yeast collections at the Carlsberg research centre and produces ales and lagers for the Danish market and Scandinavia.
