Modelled on the golden, fruity bière blonde of Belgium and part of Jacobsen's launch range in 2005. Pilsner, light crystal and wheat malt with a little brewing sugar form a base close to a pilsner, but a Belgian ale yeast and an extract of angelica, an old Nordic herb, take it elsewhere. Czech Saaz is the only hop and the bitterness stays low. Aroma: ripe melon and dried apricot with spicy hints of juniper and pine needles. The palate is elegant and sweet with a soft, dry finish.
