Green Beacon Brewing Co. opened in January 2013 in a warehouse on Helen Street in Teneriffe, Brisbane, founded by school friends Adrian Slaughter and Marc Chrismas. A production brewery in Geebung followed in 2017, and the company won brewery titles at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Asahi acquired Green Beacon in 2019; since 2023 most of the brewing has moved to other Asahi sites, while the expanded Teneriffe brewpub remains the brand's home base.
