Allgäuer Brauhaus
Allgäuer Brauhaus is a stock corporation founded in Kempten by August Weixler in 1911. In 1921 it absorbed the town's Stiftsbrauerei, an abbey brewery first recorded in 1394, and it presents itself as keeper of that older tradition. Head office and sales remain in Kempten, while brewing moved in 2004 to a new plant in Leuterschach, a district of Marktoberdorf. The house belongs to the Radeberger Gruppe. Under its own name it sells a small range of traditional Bavarian lagers and a dark wheat beer; its better-known labels Allgäuer Büble Bier and Altenmünster run as separate brands.

How we measure this
Two thresholds are at work here:
- The signature list shows notes that recur in at least 6% of this brewery's beers. A low bar — enough to flag a pattern, not high enough to call it an exclusive trait.
- The peer comparison below shows only notes where this brewery's coverage differs from similar breweries by at least 20 percentage points. A higher bar — enough to call a real difference, not a nudge.
A note can appear on the signature list without appearing in the peer comparison: it recurs here, but similar breweries do the same thing.
