🌍 Belgium · Belgian Pale Ale · One of 26 Belgian Pale Ales in hopIQ

Moinette Ambrée joined the Moinette family in 2016 as the third colour after the blond and the brown. The top-fermented amber beer is brewed from a blend of five special malts with sugar in the recipe and is refermented in the bottle. Its fragrant nose brings peach-like fruit over the malt. On the palate the malts open into praline notes of chocolate, hazelnut and coffee, lifted by fine hops, and a clean bitterness keeps the strong beer lean.

The palate develops a rich interplay of praline, hazelnut, and cocoa from the blend of five specialty malts, with a faint coffee undertone adding depth. Fine noble hops provide a clean, dry bitterness that prevents the beer from becoming heavy despite its 8.5% strength, maintaining a lean and well-balanced character.
