🌍 Belgium · Fruit Wheat Ale · One of 27 Fruit Wheat Ales in hopIQ

Blanche du Hainaut Rosée was first brewed in summer 2026 for Dupont's Saisonnières events and has since been offered to trade customers, so far only in 20-litre kegs, with cans announced. It builds on the recipe of Blanche du Hainaut, the house's organic witbier, and adds pure organic juices of blackberry, redcurrant, blueberry, raspberry and blackcurrant. At 4.3 % it shows a pink colour, a light natural acidity and a fruity, barely sweet profile that is very refreshing.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with bright, ripe berry notes—blackcurrant, redcurrant, and raspberry prominent, with subtle blackberry undertones. Beneath the fruit sits the characteristic citrus and coriander signature of the base witbier, along with faint hints of wheat and a soft spice. No harsh acetaldehyde or phenolic notes intrude; the organic juices provide a naturally clean, fruity bouquet.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and light, with the berry juices delivering natural acidity that brightens the palate without sharpness. Mid-palate balances soft maltiness from the organic wheat base with layered berry character—raspberry and blackcurrant lead, followed by redcurrant's tartness. Bitterness is minimal (12 IBU), allowing the fruit and gentle spice to dominate; any sweetness remains restrained and melts quickly.
