Deep mahogany to near-black under bright light, with excellent clarity revealing the beer's full color depth. A tan head forms readily and maintains good Schaumhaftung across the glass surface. Carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, with fine bubbles rising steadily.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced chocolate and toasted bread crust notes, backed by a subtle nutty sweetness. Herbal and faintly spicy hop character emerges behind the malt base, adding complexity without dominating the profile. The overall impression is restrained and balanced, characteristic of long cold conditioning.

◐ Geschmack

Entry brings clean chocolate and toasty malt, followed by a light nutty sweetness through the mid-palate. Herbal and spicy Edelhopfen bitterness cuts across the malt structure with precision, providing structure without heaviness. The palate remains smooth and integrated despite the beer's color, with no rough edges or oxidative character.

The finish is crisp and clean, fading to a dry herbal aftertaste with faint toasted notes lingering. Drinkability remains high at 4.5% ABV, as the finish does not burden the palate or leave sticky sweetness.
