◎ Aussehen

Deep mahogany to near-black in color, characteristic of an Imperial Stout aged in barrel. The body is opaque and dense, with a tan head that demonstrates solid retention and lacing. Carbonation is moderate, creating a creamy visual texture.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright red raspberry, sweet and slightly tart, layered over a roasted malt foundation of dark chocolate and coffee. Beneath these primary notes, rum barrel influence emerges as vanilla, molasses, and subtle oak, creating a complex interplay between fruit and barrel spice.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is full-bodied and warming, with tart raspberry flavor establishing itself against roasted malts and espresso-like bitterness. The mid-palate develops brown sugar and molasses sweetness from the rum barrel aging, balanced by chocolate and a slight dry oak character. The 8.5% alcohol adds weight without harsh alcohol burn.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long and lingering, with berry acidity fading slowly against a backdrop of oak and vanilla warmth. A subtle alcohol glow persists, leaving a dry, slightly tannic aftertaste.

Etwas wärmer als erwartet. 10–13°C lässt die gerösteten Malz-, Schokoladen- und Kaffeenoten vollständig entfalten.
