◎ Aussehen

Pours a dark copper with excellent clarity and a creamy beige head that displays fine, persistent lacing. The color sits at the deeper end of the amber spectrum, suggesting careful malt selection and moderate kilning. Low carbonation produces a calm, stable foam collar that clings to the glass throughout the pour.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced stone-baked bread crust and toasted grain notes from the special malts, followed by layers of soft caramel and hints of red berries and apple. A touch of chocolate rounds the malt foundation, while restrained aroma hops contribute a grassy undertone that adds freshness without dominating the profile.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is full and malty, with bread dough and soft caramel providing the core character, supported by a surprisingly firm and fine bitterness for a Franconian lager. The texture remains smooth throughout, with low carbonation enhancing the drying sensation that emerges mid-palate. Malt sweetness and hop bitterness achieve clear, balanced tension.

The finish turns distinctly dry with lingering hop bitterness that extends cleanly into the aftertaste. The overall impression is refreshing and grounded, with no cloying residue.
