Guldenberg presents a deep golden hue under examination, bright and translucent without haze. A dense white head forms on the pour and clings to the glass with substantial persistence, leaving fine lacework as the beer is consumed. Carbonation is visible and lively throughout.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with pronounced citrus notes of orange peel and lemon, followed by candied sugar and honey undertones. A distinctive peppery quality from the yeast emerges alongside subtle herbal notes from the Hallertau Mittelfrüh dry hop, creating a layered and inviting bouquet.

◐ Geschmack

The palate balances honeyed malt sweetness and soft alcohol warmth against a firm, herbal bitterness that is notably pronounced for the style. The bitterness builds through the mid-palate and drives the finish with crisp drying, preventing any cloying quality and maintaining good definition throughout.

◑ Abgang

The finish is dry and lingering, with the herbal bitterness extending cleanly into the aftertaste. A slight mineral quality complements the fading citrus notes, leaving the palate refreshed rather than exhausted.
