BeYOB presents a deep amber hue with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent head that leaves distinct lacing down the glass. The color reflects the darker malts used in its composition, while the carbonation level is moderate and well-integrated. The body carries visible weight appropriate to the Doppelbock style.

The nose reveals the complexity of the four-decoction mash technique: prominent notes of bread crust and caramel dominate, with underlying toffee sweetness and a subtle chocolate character from the darker malts. The alcohol presence is warm and integrated rather than sharp, supporting rather than overshadowing the malt-driven character. No aggressive hop aromatics intrude on this malt-forward profile.

The palate opens with full, malty sweetness that reflects the decoction process, revealing layers of caramel and toffee with a light chocolate undertone. The body is substantial and slightly viscous, characteristic of the style, while the moderate bitterness (22 IBU) remains restrained and supportive rather than assertive.
