Purity Brewing Co. was founded in 2005 by Paul Halsey and James Minkin on Upper Spernall Farm, a working farm near Great Alne in Warwickshire. It began with two cask ales, Pure Gold and Pure UBU, and later added keg beers and lagers; a German-built brewhouse followed in 2013. Waste water runs through a pond and wetland system on site, and spent grain feeds the farm's Longhorn cattle. After entering administration in late 2023 the brewery passed to Breal's Keystone group and, in January 2026, to the Great British Drinks Company. Brewing remains at the farm.
