An independent family brewery in the village of Svijany in northern Bohemia, and by its own account one of the oldest in the country, founded some time before 1564. It draws water from its own wells, grows Saaz hops on its own fields in the Polepská blata area, ferments in open vessels and matures in lagering tanks. Most of the range is unpasteurised. The brewmaster is Petr Menšík, and the brewery credits František Horák with rescuing it from closure.
