Their signature has to hold across very different styles — which makes the notes that do recur more telling, not less.

How they compare
Each beer measured against others of its own style, then averaged across the range. Compared with the wider catalogue across breweries making similar styles.

Across 10 beers in 6 style families, none of Fiddlehead Brewing Company's characters carry through the whole range — the mix of styles they brew is the signature here.

About Fiddlehead Brewing Company

Fiddlehead Brewing Company was founded on New Year's Eve 2011 by Matt Cohen — known as "Matty O" — who had previously served as head brewer at Magic Hat Brewing in Burlington, Vermont. Located on Shelburne Road in Shelburne, just south of Burlington, the brewery has remained independently owned since opening. The flagship Fiddlehead IPA became the best-selling draft beer in Vermont by 2016. As of 2024, Fiddlehead is the 23rd largest craft brewery in the United States by volume and the largest Vermont-owned brewery — built on a single location with no kitchen.
