Retreat is the hazy double IPA of Offshoot and part of its year-round range next to Relax. A simple base of pale malt and oats carries a heavy dose of Mosaic, Cashmere and El Dorado. The beer pours hazy gold to light amber. Pineapple, melon and tropical fruit lead the nose, with a berry note and hints of coconut, lime and lemongrass from the Cashmere. The body is soft and full, yet the finish stays fairly crisp, with the strength well hidden.
