◎ Appearance

Relax pours a straw-gold hue with substantial cloudiness, characteristic of the New England IPA style. The turbidity stems from both the flaked oats in the grain bill and the yeast in suspension, creating an opaque, inviting appearance. A modest white head forms and dissipates gradually, leaving light lacing on the glass.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with ripe stone and tropical fruit notes—mango, pineapple, tangerine, and grapefruit dominate, courtesy of the Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. Beneath the fruit sits a subtle pine resin thread, grounding the profile without asserting itself. The aromatic impression remains clean and bright, with no harsh herbal edges.

◐ Taste

The palate entry is soft and rounded, the flaked oats and London ale yeast contributing a pillowy mouthfeel rather than any drying grain character. Mango, tangerine, and grapefruit flavors carry through the mid-palate with juicy intensity, while bitterness remains restrained at 45 IBU—present enough to frame the hops but never harsh or astringent. The body feels full without heaviness, balanced and approachable.

◑ Finish

The finish is smooth and juicy, trailing off with residual citrus and mango sweetness rather than any dry, resinous bite. A gentle fade leaves the palate refreshed and clean, inviting another sip.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
